Pacific Ave. is in the downtown area and has a selection of specialty shops that range from a gourmet kitchen store to a hat shop. It also has three of the area's largest book shops: Bookshop Santa Cruz, a local institution which carries international new papers and has frequent guest author events, Logos features used-book and music sections, and Borders has a café. There are also many restaurants and clubs.

Seascape Village on Seascape Blvd. offers a selection of retail, dining and recreation services, Rio Del Mar Center at Soquel and State Park Drs. is a main complex, there are several smaller centers offering specialty shops located along Soquel Drive and off of Hwy 1.

Capitola-Soquel Village
41st Ave features a number of shopping centers: Capitola Mall, Brown Ranch Market, Kings Plaza and 4-Star Plaza. They offer a mix of national brands and specialty stores, numerous dining options, a movie theater, grocery & drug stores and other services.
Capitola Village has many small specialty gift, art, and beach shops. Several restaurants are located on the beach.
Soquel Village: There are over 17 antique stores, collectible shops, and galleries located along Soquel Dr. and on crossroads.
