Manuel Santana opened his Mexican restaurant over 40 years ago, and it has been a family & community institution ever since. Using his favorite recipes, Manuel has held to his original principals of serving good Mexican food made from scratch and offered at reasonable prices. The portions served are generous, the atmosphere is friendly, and from generation to generation, families return to experience memorable meals & to reconnect with the Santana family. Manuel believes a perfect glass of premium wine could greatly enhance your dining experience. Therefore he is constantly searching for those high quality wines with moderate pricing, making it affordable for everybody to enjoy.

Manuel loves to laugh and is a bit of a tease. Much of his teasing is directed at his family and especially the grandkids, whose first job was to bus tables and wash dishes, as it was for son Leonardo, who continues to be actively involved in the family restaurant business. The Santanas have lived in the Seacliff area from the time when it was a sleepy seaside village. "We are now a cosmopolitan and global community with many new neighbors having found their way here through connection with the University and Cabrillo College," said Manuel.
